Ballinrobe Golf Club was laid out and designed by the well known and late Mr Eddie Hackett. The course is a true championship test playing a par 73 for the gents measuring over 7,300 yards.
Ballinrobe has matured into one of the finest Parkland Courses in Ireland and has hosted several amateur tournaments in affiliation with the GUI and ILGU. Most recently "The World Military Games" was hosted in Ballinrobe which drew over 100 participants from all continents of the globe.
Ballinrobe has sand based contoured greens which are playable all year round. The course is set in medieval surroundings which includes Tower Houses, Limekiln Plants and Stone Monuments as part of the natural surroundings. Mature Trees, manmade lakes and stone walls add to the unique experience of golf at Ballinrobe Golf Club.
